Being a passionate photographer I always wanted to click images which are sharp stunning and have professional touch in it. And thanks to this DSLR camera I can now manage to achieve this with utmost ease.

The Canon EOS SL1 is a good DSLR, although a bit pricey – you can pick up a kit for $649 and $799 with an additional 55-250mm zoom. Yet, one of its main draws is its small size and it really doesn't deliver on that score since it's just a shade smaller than a classic DSLR like the Nikon D3300.

I'm reviewing the SL1 as a long-time Canon DSLR user and one that has been searching for a good, small, speedy backup camera for casual use. I'll leave the highly technical issues such as ISO performance to others. I've had a series of smaller cameras like the Canon G11.

Very early on with this camera, but we have always had good results with Canon products and this one is following suit. The controls and touchscreen can be figured out quite easily, and offer a lot of flexibility. The automatic modes work very well.
