Cameras with a one-inch type sensor are popular right now, with Sony and Panasonic including them in their premium compact cameras along with Canon, whose PowerShot G7 X Mark II is its latest camera to feature one.

Stellar UI and handling however so very disappointed with the optics. Basically unusable for any shots requiring edge-to-edge sharpness (landscapes, architecture) below 5.6 aperture and 50mm equivalent focal length. More than soft edges, soft well into the centre.

Very good camera for shooting both vdos and still. Since the sensor size is big, it has a very good low light performance. The biggest advantage of this camera is it's size. This camera is not exactly pocketable but you can carry it in your jacket pocket.

I was expecting a lot for a point and shoot that cost over $700. I was not disappointed. I can honestly say this camera takes better pictures then my partner's Canon Rebel (whatever numbers follow that designation).
