The Xiaomi Redmi Buds 3 Pro are one of the best ANC earphones I have ever used, especially for their price. The sleek, minimalist design fits really well in the ear. The buds will not come out if you go for a run and they also do not go deep into your ear like a lot of other earphones. They are light and don't stick out of the ear very much making them look good and also feel good. To get all of the extra configuration options on any phone with Android 5+, you can use the app "Mi Buds M8" from Google Play. It's free, and allows access to all of the extra ANC functions, without the device limitations. Good product, ANC is far better than I expected. Difficult to wear for long periods, but a couple of hours is comfortable enough. Voice enhanced Transparency mode is marred only by lack of audio ducking, meaning volume has to already be low for it to be a decent pass through. In my 70's with a hearing impairment, I missed being able to listen to music with a rich sound. Having used the Redmi Buds now for a few weeks I've found they've filled the gap, with a great base response, mid-range and highs. On top of that, the ease of operation with the tapping of the device for functional changes put the icing on the cake for me. The buds are easy to hold for arthritic fingers, easy to pop back in the case, and easy to pair with phones and tablets. Would I buy them again? In a heartbeat. Can I recommend them? Hell yeah.

The buds seem to cause a little bit of pain at the top part of my ear opening. If I put them in a particular way I can get around that issue but it isn't a problem I have had with other wireless ear buds. The sound quality and noise cancelling is quite good compared to other products at this price level. The fine print on the listing states only 4 Xiaomi phone models have access to all the settings the buds have but if you do some searching, a 3rd party app is available to give you access to these settings. Sometimes they momentarily disconnect from my phone then reconnect, not too much of a problem but still annoying.

If you're looking for a great pair of ANC earbuds, this is not for you. I've tried all the ear tips supplied in the box, I've also installed the software to unlock more features and control, the ANC doesn't seem to work decently. It's very weak; however, I'm not giving this a one-star, because for the price these earbuds are fantastic for other uses like calls, music and podcast. Again, for ANC purposes, discard this from your list of choices.
